Q&A: Is there a computer application or program that would help keep my extended family connected?
Question by Nichole S: Is there a computer application or program that would help keep my extended family connected?
I’d like a program that would run at startup which would allow the family to be in a “network”. It would allow family members to post messages, similar to a message board. I would also like to be able to post “events” like evite.com where members can RSVP and post messages.
I’ve found several family networking websites, but I don’t think that would work for my family. I would also like it to be as user friendly as possible for young and older family members.

I could go on and on, raving about David Kellogg’s PBWiki site.
You can sign up for a free business or personal wiki, and everyone in the family will be able to keep in touch. You can either give out a password and let everyone add to the wiki (my family members each make pages) or keep it locked. It is totally private, if you wish. You keep all rights to anything you post, and your info isn’t given out.
