Hi there…consider Craigslist http://www.craigslist.org to locate your state and nearest city. Look for the Pets subsection under the Community section.
horse.com has a free classified service
if these are Rescues, you can use Petfinder.com
if you don’t post photos, most sites let you put in a free classified. Try equine.com or dreamhorse.com
To be honest, I’ve never sold any using those websites. http://www.horsetrader.com has been the only site I’ve had any success with.

Without a doubt I would have to say the dreamhorse.com website. I just sold one of my horses there and it was free with the exception that you have to pay for posting a photo. The text ad itself is free and you don’t have to post a photo if you don’t want to.

Its free, and you can even post a picture with your ad for free. I got the most responses off my ad with them then any of the other free places I posted an ad at.
