I have registered and have portfolios on what are considered to be the top 3 sites for earnings. They are quite picky about the quality of the image, but then that is there business. All 3 sites have different standards and reviewers so one could accept more images than the others You are not going to get rich quick and I just look at it as a little extra money for camera gear. If you work hard at it for a good while or already have a lot of really good pics then you could make a good amount reasonably quickly. My small portfolio is not making much but then I'm not giving up my day job! I just think that if pics that are just sitting on my hard drive could make money then why not? Money for nothing right? They set the prices of the image and you make a commission. Marketing and designers are the usual customers. Some have subscriptions with the stock site and regularly buy there. Check out the critique forums for ideas of what to shoot and the quality required to be accepted I have just started out selling my photos with stock agencies (5 months).
