Try http://www.towerhobbies.com You have to keep in mind that planes go up in price the closer to the real model they are. If you have not flown R/C planes before, then I would recommend a trainer plane first. They make it very easy to earn to fly, however you will crash. Everyone does. Taildragger planes are harder to control than a trainer.
Get an account at http://www.rcgroups.com It is free. Use the forums. Also, find local flying field and go visit it. R/C pilots are almost always happy to answer questions and help new comers to the sport. It is possible to learn to fly by ourself, but it is cheaper to have some one help you learn.

Hello Again Eric O… Remote control aircraft are inherently NOT cheap.

The first answerer gave a good reference with the RC Forum.

You don’t mention if you want a KIT or a RTF or ARTF…

I’d suggest starting with a kit to save money: http://www.hobbyhorse.com/hanger_sopwith.shtml
