carsoup.com is what i have used in the past

cars.com is the best by far.

Don’t buy one that doesn’t have a lot of pictures.

I can’t say that it’s the best, but I’ve heard that eBay Motors has the cars checked by Pep Boys.

    type into search box

    how to buy used car
    how to check used car

dont like buying cars online but finding them online and then going to check and test drive sure just type into search box type of car your looking for and add for sale wil find cars for sale add your state name like 2004 chevy nevada for sale

Edmunds.com is one of the best new and used car sites. It includes reviews on used cars from owners and others. If you put in your zip code, you can locate cars in your area.

Go to Carmax, they have clean used cars with a guarantee. If you want a real bargain, you really have to know cars, and you wouldn’t be posting a question on this.

Today Carmax has a 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser 4D Wagon for $9,849.

Carmax has definite prices, and a full inventory to search. They mostly sell used cars, so it is not a sideline business like it is to a car dealership.

Not sure there is a “best” site. Here’s a list of some of the most popular sites:
    http://www.used-car-advisor.com/usedcar-websites.htm

However, buying online is always an extra risk unless you can find a seller who lives near you. It’s a risk when you can’t see the car, can’t inspect it, can’t test drive it, and can’t talk directly to the owner, can’t see the title, and can’t look for oil spots where it’s parked.

I came to the conclusion that if you get a credit report yourself, you can safe that money at your local dealer, because they charge much for this service.
So get your credit report and bring it to your car dealership and you can save the money and it speeds up the process.
I will attach the site where I got this idea from, and I saved a lot just for this little “trick”.

    Hi!
You can buy it at auction. Look at http://www.easyexport.us/?a_aid=49e6f684c12b9

    Take a look at http://www.autotrader.com or http://www.lotpro.com.
An important thing to look at is mileage. Also check out the carfax report and look at the cars history before buying. Good luck.

The best tip I can give you is forget websites, and search the used car lots of new car dealers in person….

  12. LordOfWar says:

any “trader” website.. auto, truck, or modified…
    craigslist.com

browse around!.. look in every possible car selling website to compare prices…
    ebay sells too…
    carmax
    champion
    just browse around!

  13. Bill says:

You also should compare car insurance quotes for cars before buying one, for example here – carinsurance.yoll.net

i like yahoo autos alot, good interface
    ebay motors is good
    autotrader.com is also good
    cars.com
