Anyone knows a website where I can buy cameras at good prices?

I wanna buy the Nikon D-40, but I wanna know a good website to buy it cause all websites have a different price, sooo anyone know a good website to buy this camera not at the most expensive price? like $400 down?

AND PLEASE DISCARD EBAY! and amazon too.

    I only buy from Adorama if I can’t get what I want from B&H.

    Most all of the “cheap” online sites are ripoffs. If you find one with a good price be absolutely certain to check http://www.resellerratings.com before you commit to buy. For example here’s the ratings for bestpricecameras.com who currently have the D40x w/18-55 listed at $449:

    If you see any comments about upsells in a rating then RUN! It ain’t worth the hassle even if by some miracle you actually get a camera.

    You might try frys.com or pacificgeek.com – either of these might help you, but maybe not. I don’t know what they are stocking today, you just have to look around on them. I think frys has tabs for audio/video and other ones too, not sure of pacificgeek.com… Hope this helps you.

    B&H Photo is the only online retailer I’ll use. There’s a reason several people have recommended them to you … they’re honest and reliable, and they have legitimate prices.

    If you find prices that are lower elsewhere, it’s likely not a legitimate retailer and you’ll get the upsell calls and the runaround.
